The Sender (one person) builds an alert circle of family and friends. When the moment comes, one tap on the home screen sends a push notification + SMS to everyone in the circle with a clear “come to the bedside” message. Recipients confirm with one tap so the Sender knows who’s on the way.
$4.99 for 6 months of Sender access. It is non-renewing — we never auto-charge you. After 6 months, access ends unless you purchase again. Recipients on an alert circle are always free, never charged.
No. Bedside is a personal-notification tool. It is NOT a medical device, NOT a medical record system, NOT a clinical communication system, and NOT a HIPAA-covered service. Always call 911 and the patient’s care team in any medical emergency — do not rely on this app to reach them.
Yes. Open the app and go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This is permanent and irreversible; it removes your profile, contacts, and alert-event history. Or email us to request deletion.
Notification delivery is best-effort and can fail for reasons outside our control (mobile carrier issues, recipient device offline, spam filters, network outages, third-party service outages at Twilio, SendGrid, Apple, Google). In time-sensitive situations, always also call directly. If a recipient consistently doesn’t receive alerts, email us with their phone number (with their permission) and we’ll investigate.
